1998 A taste of home begins
Cedar Bakery opened its doors in Preston in 1998 with one simple idea: to bring the taste of home to Melbourne. Inspired by Lebanese baking, Cedar Bakery started as a small local spot where fresh ingredients, family recipes, and a love for food came together to create a place people could count on for comfort and flavour.
2020 second location, same heart
Cedar Bakery opened its second store in Watergardens in 2020, bringing the same great taste and friendly vibe to a new part of town. The new location helped Cedar Bakery reach more people, while keeping the same feeling that made the original so special.
Today more than a bakery
Cedar Bakery is now known across Melbourne as more than just a bakery. It’s a concept store where everything comes together from specialty coffee, to a dine-in menu for breakfast and lunch, to a grocery section and a wide variety of fresh pastries. It’s a space built for the community, where every visit feels easy, warm, and genuine. Whether you’re popping in for a coffee or sitting down for a meal, you’re always welcome. That’s more than a motto it’s what Cedar Bakery is all about.
2013 A new vision emerges
As Cedar Bakery grew, so did the vision. In 2013, the brand moved in a new direction, keeping its roots, but adding fresh ideas. The goal was to turn the bakery into more than just a place to buy bread and pastries, it became a space where people could relax, enjoy good food, and feel part of a place that felt familiar and welcoming.
2025 growing the Cedar Bakery experience
In 2025, Cedar Bakery opened its third location in Moonee Ponds. Each new store has been a chance to grow, improve, and do more of what makes Cedar Bakery special offering a mix of great food, helpful service, and spaces that feel like home.
